Miyazawa Flutes was founded in 1969 by Masashi Miyazawa, celebrating their 50^th anniversary this year. Mr Miyazawa founded the company with a dream to create the highest quality professional instrument, better than any others available on the market at the time. With his background in the design & manufacture of professional flutes, Mr Miyazawa successfully brought together traditional craftsmanship with advanced technologies, a principle which still applies in every Miyazawa flute today.

In 2005, Miyazawa introduced the Brögger System™ to their flutes. Designed by famed flutemaker Johann Brögger, the Brögger System™ features an innovative pinless mechanism allowing precise adjustments and balance of the spring tension of each individual key. This results in a more even, effortless feel for the flutist.
