Geoghegan Handmade Niobium Headjoint

The Geoghegan Headjoint will improve the pitch and intonation of any flute. How much will it improve?
The whole 3rd register from high D on up is brought down in pitch. High C is 30 cents lower, high B is 15 cents lower and high Bb is in tune.

Allowing for easier changes in tone colors, tonguing, jumping of octaves, less splitting or cracking of notes and produced in a variety of metals, many used for the first time in headjoint design.

The Geoghegan Niobium headjoint provides a full range of tone colors and dynamics without the darkness or extreme edge that the Tantalum can produce. Niobium is Tantalum’s brother and is lighter in weight and a little easier to handle. The tube is made of niobium. The lip plate, wall, crown and Power Bands are all made of solid sterling silver.
